HDPE EX5 is a high-molecular-weight, bimodal high density polyethylene with 1-butene as comonomer. It combines good stiffness and tenacity with a low gel level, producing strong blown films with a paper-like feel for bags and wrapping.

HDPE EX5 FAQ
What is HDPE EX5 used for?
HDPE EX5 is a bimodal HDPE film grade for strong blown film with a paper-like feel: counter bags, carrier (T-shirt) bags, wrapping film and general blown film from about 10 to 200 µm.
How does HDPE EX5 compare with HDPE F7000?
Both are HDPE blown-film grades. EX5 is a bimodal butene grade with a dart impact of about 220 g at 20 µm and a low gel level, favoured for tough bags and wrapping film. F7000 is chosen when the priority is very thin film (down to about 6 µm) at high line speed. Many converters blend either grade with 10–30% LLDPE for extra toughness.
What processing conditions are recommended?
Typical melt temperature is 200–230 °C with a blow-up ratio of about 4 : 1 on high-stalk (neck) HDPE film lines.
Is HDPE EX5 suitable for food contact?
Yes – EX5 is supplied as a food-contact film grade. Ask us for the lot certificate of analysis and compliance statement with your order.
What is the minimum order and how is it packed?
One container (about 25 t) in 25 kg bags on pallets or in jumbo bags, delivered ex-factory or at the Iranian border, with full export documents.
